What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us.
Whenever we bring awareness to what we are directly experiencing via our senses, or to our state of mind via our thoughts and emotions, we're being mindful. And there's growing research showing that when we train our brain to be mindful, we're actually positively remodeling the physical structure of our brain.

The aim of mindfulness is not quieting the mind, or attempting to achieve a state of eternal calm. The goal is simple; we're aiming to pay attention to the present moment, without judgement.

Through fun, games, stillness and creative activity, your Child or Teenager will learn different methods of observing the present moment as it is. It is when we are caught up on worry of tomorrow and regret of yesterday we experience various levels of anxiety and fear.
Our minds often get carried away in thought and judgement, resulting in emotional responses. That's why mindfulness is the practice of returning, again and again, to the present moment.
When we can focus on the present moment and become more aware and loving of our thoughts and emotions, we then create a ripple effect of acceptance of self and of others.
Mindful Kids & Mindful Teens is a fun program designed to assist your Child or Teenager in developing and strengthening life skills and practices of resilience, understanding their own emotions and to let go of anxiety and doubt.
The weekly sessions are designed to engage children to learn and understand how mindfulness and mindful living can help them be more confident, less anxious and have calmer thoughts.
Guided mindful meditations and practical mindful living exercises are designed to engage children of all ages to help them develop their self-belief, intuition, inner calm and resilience.
